Sunnyvale Community Services runs several food aid programs for qualified clients. In addition to generous donations each week from Second Harvest Food Bank and Panera Bread, we also rely on donations from individuals.
We accept any non-perishable items, but especially items that do not require cooking and are easy to open. Items such as canned tuna and meats, peanut butter, jelly, and dry cereals are always needed.
For a more complete list of requested food items, please visit our Wish List page.
Our client families need many things to help make their lives just a little easier. Families with children need new backpacks each year for school, and new school supplies to start the school year right. Families and individuals also need household items like cleaning supplies, coffee makers, blankets and dishes.
Please visit our Wish List page for a complete list of unused items you can donate.
Donate a Van
With so many generous businesses throughout Santa Clara County, we spend a lot of time driving a van to pick up food donations to bring back to our facility for distribution to our clients. The van we are using today is nearing the end of its life. If you have a van in good working order to donate, please consider offering it to Sunnyvale Community Services. You can contact Marie Bernard at email@example.com for more information about how make your donation.
Donate a Car
If it’s time to replace an older car, or if you have a boat and trailer that are just taking up space in the garage, Donate For Charity arranges a free vehicle pickup, handles all the DMV issues, sells the vehicle at auction, and distributes the net proceeds to Sunnyvale Community Services.
You’ll avoid the headache of selling a used vehicle and receive a receipt entitling you to a tax deduction. When you’re ready to donate, simply call Donate For Charity toll-free at (866) 392-4483 or complete their online donation form.
Thank you so much for considering a donation to Sunnyvale Community Services!
Sunnyvale Community Services will not sell, trade or share a donor’s personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations.
